Walmart Canada seller fees (2026)

The referral fee Walmart charges in Canada is a flat percentage per contract category, not the tiered US schedule most fee tables show — and WFS Canada is billed in Canadian dollars on its own weight table. This works out what a Walmart.ca order actually leaves you.

Canada is flat; the US schedule is tiered

This is the part that trips sellers up, because most published fee tables are the US one. Walmart's US schedule changes rate part-way up the price on several categories; Walmart's Canadian table has no tiers at all. On identical items:

Shipping weight is the greater of unit weight and volumetric weight, where volumetric weight is length × width × height in inches ÷ 300; add 0.25 lb for packaging and round up to the next pound. Units under 1 lb and over 150 lb are charged on unit weight.

• Oversize: C$4.00 when the longest side is over 48″, or the median side over 30″, or longest side plus girth over 105″; C$35.00 when the longest side is over 87″ or longest side plus girth over 118″. Applies to units up to 150 lb.
• Storage: C$0.80 per cubic foot per month; in peak months (usually October to December) that rate applies for the first 30 days and C$1.70 per cubic foot per month is added beyond 30 days; stock held past 12 months is C$7.00 per cubic foot per month.
• Fuel surcharge: up to 7% of the fulfilment fee may be added when the gas price rises above $2.00 a litre.
• Gap in Walmart's own table: between 11 lb and 21 lb Walmart publishes “each additional lb above 11 lb: + C$0.40” and then a flat C$18.00 at 21 lb. Those do not reconcile — C$10.10 plus ten pounds at C$0.40 is C$14.10, not C$18.00. This calculator extends the per-pound rule across 12–20 lb, which is the lower reading; if your statements show C$18.00 at 21 lb exactly, budget the higher figure for that band. There is no published Canadian row for 12–20 lb, and we will not invent one.

New-seller discounts, to 31 January 2027

Sellers who go live on Walmart Marketplace Canada on or after 1 February 2026 get, automatically: 25% off base referral fees on seller-fulfilled items, 50% off on WFS-fulfilled items, 25% off WFS fulfilment and 50% off WFS storage, with the referral rebate calculated quarterly in arrears. On the page's default order the WFS discount alone takes the referral from C$6.00 to C$3.00 and the C$8.50 fulfilment fee to about C$6.38. The date is in Walmart's New-Seller Savings terms and it ends 31 January 2027 — after that the rates above are the rates you pay.
